New Store, Old Store

Posted by Alison Manning on

As you are no doubt aware by now, Beckie has made the difficult decision to leave Unraveled. Her initial plan was to simply close the store. I heard this news on a Sunday morning at the end of June and my initial thought was "Rats - there goes my yarn store!". I mentioned this in passing to my husband the next day and his first words were "Oh, are you going to buy it?".

I admit, I hadn't considered this before and it certainly gave me something to think about as I drove to work that day. When I got there, I told a friend that the store was closing and she said, "Oh, are you going to buy it?".

Now, I don't know about you but that sure seems like a not-so-subtle nudge from the universe to me.

So I spoke to Beckie and we came to an agreement. I would purchase the store.

You'll see when you come in (you are coming in, right?) that some old favourites are still stocked as well as a few new things. Rowan yarn is still available as is Opal and Regia sock yarns, but there is now more from Cascade. A few things from Berroco are now available as is a gorgeous yarn from a local producer. There is linen and some gorgeous silk and a bit more for spinners and needle felters. Oh, and there is this.

I can't wait to see you.
